First proper custom build! Coming from a Noir N1 (RK68 'clone') and previously a Corsair K70 MK.2. I originally wanted to get the Akko MOD 007, but ended up going with the GMMK Pro for the south facing LEDs and QMK compatibility. 75% seems to be my sweet spot, missed those function keys dearly during my time with the Noir N1 (which I still use and bring around with my laptop). I also prefer the aesthetic of the exploded layout. Total price came up to be around 415 USD, including a custom cable, palm rest, stabiliser foam, and extra knob.
Jade switches are on the letters, numbers, and symbols, Whites on modifiers and function keys, Pale Blues on space bar and arrow cluster. Originally planned on going full Jade but they were out of stock. Ended up liking the lighter feel of the Whites on the mod keys anyway. I got the Pale Blues to see how they felt, but found a way to put them in somehow.
Stock GOAT stabs needed re-lubing since they were so sticky, as well as needing replacement padding on the PCB. Might consider switching to Durock V2s or C3 stabs, but for now they're fine.
The brass plate was a bit warped but after doing the triple gasket mod it got forced into shape. Most people who do this mod leave the screws a bit loose to increase flex, meanwhile I've tightened them down to increase stiffness. It also helped to bring out the clicky sounds more.
Overall, incredibly happy with how this build turned out, and now all my friends hate me whenever I talk to them while mashing keys when gaming or typing.
