Linear Endgame
When I built my Sun68, that board was supposed to be my Endgame board: It sounds good, feels good and looks good too! And it drained a good hole into my bank account, too So what more to build, right?
But just a week after I finished the Sun68, I stumbled upon the Conone 65 and immediately fell in love with its striking design. I knew I had to get my hands on one, but with only 90 boards produced in total, that would be quite a difficult challenge I thought. Luckily, when I checked mechmarket to get a feeling for the price-history of the keeb, there was a 14 day old post from Qatar, offering the Conone not only in the color I wanted and with the plate I wanted, but also already millmaxed (did I mention that I can't solder at all?). So I immediately shot the seller a message, asking wether the board was still avaialble and if he could reserve it for me as my pockets were just drained by the Sun68.
Much to my joy, he agreed to resvere the board and even paid the (probably very steep) shipping cost from Qatar to Germany out of his own pocket when I finally had the money to buy the board. So, only two weeks after randomly stumbling upon this amazing board on the wide internet, I was able to build it myself! All thanks to Lovidore offering his one for sale at just the right time, then patiently reserving it and then shipping it at lightspeed once I was able to buy the board! Thanks man!
