We all know how it was back in the day playing games. Even though we have all gotten used to grafics as good as photos and sometines we cannot even resliase if something is CGI or real video footgae, we do tend to jump back onto memroy lane now and then, get all mushy in nostalgie and remember how we used to be satisfied and content with so much less.
Well thats what this build was about.
Its tarted off with two Coolermaster SK621 KEyboards
and I +modded the shit out of making a whole two player arcade battle box out of them
All together this machine can now play over 6000 games spanned over almost 30 platforms. The fun fact is, back then we all didnt have internet so we used to play on one screen next to eachother.
So I changed that. We can play against eachother, which was not possible back then.
You just boot it up, pick a platform, (emulated) pick a game and hit enter. Either yopu play with the keyboards for dos games and some atari games for example, or use the arcade buttons and controllers i integrated.
as well as a Raspberry PI, 2x second hand screens and both sides have their own speakers.
This one was really fun and my special thanks goes out to Coolermaster for their steady support over the years and with this build too.
It has a mouse pad integrated on each side too and if booted into linus, you can go online, check your mails or simply watch porn :-)
The case is made by hand from MDF and plastered with acrylic additions from a laser. I painted it with acrylic paints and spraycoated the plastic parts in a two tone metalic hammered look.
This one is really fun. Oh and it even won the German Championship last year. eehaaaaa!
Hope you like it.
